I’d like to introduce my mom and dad. What an amazing couple. They’ve been married 43 years and have 10 children. My brother’s wife is pregnant with what will be their 35th grandchild!
They are long time Alaskans. My father’s family homesteaded near Chitna when he was 3 years old. They crossed the Alaskan border on July 4, 1947. My mom moved to Alaska when she was 14. She was here for the 1964 Earthquake.
I am thrilled they are visiting us here in Kodiak. We haven’t been all together since Miss B was born last year. My mom was a huge help with Miss B’s Big Bash. You can see all the pictures from her party by clicking here. Mom is extremely talented and I couldn’t have pulled off the party without her.
My parents are going to be watching the kids while Jake and I visit California for a week. We leave tomorrow and I’ll be attending a photography workshop in Santa Rosa. An entire week. With no children. And no worries, because they’ll be with Grandma and Grandpa! I simply cannot wait.
Thanks Mom and Dad. I love you.
