I taught A Day With Amy Photography Workshop yesterday in Sacramento and it was fantastic! The women (and men!) were so talented, it made the workshop easy. I’ve seen some of the pictures they’ve taken since the class and I’m seriously impressed with their skills and what they have done with what they learned. I can’t say it enough, teaching is one of my favorite things to do. I love sharing my love of photography with others. And watching their “A-ha” moment in class is the best thing ever!!
While planning the trip down here I decided to bring my youngest son Sam-a-lam with me. We (read: he) needed some time away from big brothers and little sisters. Time for him to be with mom and some really cool cousins who have a swimming pool in their back yard. We only have two more days left and I’m going to be sad to leave. Sacramento is on our dream sheet for transfers next year and I’d be more than thrilled to be transferred here.
I’ve been having the best time with my sister. Talking, laughing, shopping, laughing, reminiscing, talking. All the things sisters do best.
I did a quick (QUICK!) photo session with my nephews and Sam this evening just as the sun was setting. I’m terribly jealous of the beautiful light here and I really, really wish Kodiak had better sunsets. (And a Target.) Instead, we have big gorgeous mountains that block our view of the sunset. (And a Walmart.)
Here’s some of the pics of Sam and his cousins, Tyler and Carter.
