In a final last minute decision in a series of last minute decisions (which culminated in our trip to Disneyland), I decided that Miss B needed some Disney princess dresses to wear to Disneyland. The catch was that I didn’t want the typical dresses that Disney sells (the ones with sparkles, sequins, and a big ol’ princess ironed across the chest). I was thrilled when I found Playful Princesses on Etsy. The dresses were exactly what I was looking for. Anne-Marie was so great to work with. She worked overtime to make sure they were finished for our spur of the moment trip and even sent them directly to the hotel for us.
Miss B was the Belle of Disneyland. Her infectious smile and coke bottle glasses are enough to bring attention to her, but dress her as a princess and set her free to chase birds or twirl in front of the castle? That’s just perfection… and a memory that will last forever.
The quality of these dresses is top notch. They are made with beautiful fabrics that wash up nicely. I bought a crinoline pettiskirt for her to wear under them to give them a little extra poof. On the days it was a little cooler, she wore little white pedal pushers under the skirt.
My niece Adelaide is a big fan of Disney too. I had planned a whole shoot with Miss B and her cousin to wear the dresses together, but Miss B came down with a terrible cold toward the end of our vacation and was miserable enough to want to do nothing except lay on the couch and watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Adelaide, however, enjoyed the heck out of dressing up! Isn’t she just a doll?
In case you didn’t see it, here’s a little movie I made showcasing Miss B’s first visit to Disneyland.Pin It
