Clearwater Beach, Florida

My family is so happy to be here in Florida! We are adjusting beautifully and looking forward to all the new adventures that await! If you would like to book a session, please email me at amy@simplybphotos.com. I’ll be only booking one session per week for the rest of the year, so if you need a session, be sure to let me know so I can get you on the books.

Also, NEW Day With Amy Classes will be announced soon as well as an upcoming PRO Class! If are a Day With Amy Photography Workshop alumni, I will be holding a FREE refresher course next month. Expect details on all of these exciting opportunities next week!

We’re here! After 42 days in hotels, we’re settled into an apartment waiting for our house to be built. Hopefully we’ll be moving in in October.

After arriving into town, I needed to take the final picture for the {52 Dresses} project I started a year ago. I’ve been documenting Miss B once a week (typically on Sunday) in a different dress. Watching her grow from an adorable two year old to a beautiful three year old has been a blessing and a joy. For now you can see the pictures here, but I should be getting them into a blog post soon. I’ve decided to keep going with the project. It was just too much fun and now I get to look forward to sundresses and beaches. Who could resist that?

Jana from J. Marie Designs made the dress for Miss B’s 3rd birthday and it was perfect for a beach session. Her necklace and bracelet are from All That Sass Designs. We waited for all the yummy light that accompanies the sunset before heading out. It was our family’s first visit to a warm beach in quite some time and Miss B was in awe of the sand and waves, but especially the shells! She can be a little nervous about new experiences and I loved watching her face as she watched the waves splash and her brothers play. She wasn’t quite sure about the dress getting wet in the surf.

We all loved our evening at the beach and couldn’t believe how warm the water was! Much different than the beaches of Kodiak, Alaska!

*Lest you think the beach was abandoned and it was only us… here you go. There were plenty of people, but I managed to get some great shots in between the crowds.

Emily - oh those were so fun to scroll through, i can’t help wondering what it would be like to live by warm ocean 24/7–prob don’t have to wonder too much pretty sure the answer is: paradise! what fun you’ll have taking lots and lots of beach and sun-filled pics!
