You guys are going to love this!
A couple weeks ago my good friend Lori from LB Boutique contacted me and asked if I was interested in reviewing some products for Snugli. Of course I jumped at the opportunity! Myself and six other moms who own their own businesses were sent products from Snugli to review and now I have the pleasure of introducing you to Snugli’s stroller.
But the best part? The part you are going to love? Snugli is donating 1 stroller, 2 high chairs, and 4 carriers to be given away while we review these products. I’ll have more details about that after I share how fantastic this stroller is!
Jake and I have been married 18 years, we have four children (spaced over 13 years), and have owned at least 15 strollers of all types. We’ve had umbrella strollers, double strollers and jogging strollers. We’ve had strollers that fit baby carriers. Strollers that start as a pram which then disconnects and you put in a separate piece for sitting upright. We’ve bought several strollers while traveling because we didn’t think we’d need one and then it turned out we did. We’ve had strollers so big they wouldn’t fit in our mini van.
Trust me. If it’s one thing we know, it’s strollers. I was curious to see how the Snugli stroller would stack up against others we’ve owned.
First, it scores big points for easy assembly. You only need a pair of scissors to open the packaging. The instructions are simple and easily followed. It was assembled in minutes. Sweet!
Miss B jumped right in and wanted to take a nap. She demanded her brothers push her around our tiny apartment. Then she gathered a blanket and parked in front of the television and watched an episode of Little Einsteins from her new throne. Later she was ecstatic when I suggested we go on a walk with the new stroller. It’s safe to assume that she is a fan.
I wondered how the stroller would hold up to her weight. Miss B is not a small child. She’s three years old, thirty pounds, and full of spunk. I’m glad to report that there was no need to worry! The stroller handled our little gal effortlessly. It pivots nicely and is a smooth ride, easily pushed through tight crowds or just a stroll down the street.
I have to add that I love the way it looks. The chrome and black are sleek and chic. Understated. At this point in the game for me (pushing 40 with four children), I’m not a big fan of the style that screams, Look at Me! I’ve got a baby!! I’m okay with subtle.
We got the optional style pack in quilted black. It gives extra sun shade which is nice for Florida and the extra padding on the seat makes for a cozy ride. It’s a nice feature to personalize your stroller and comes in a variety of styles.
A drawback? There isn’t a cup holder. Thats a bummer, but something that could be easily fixed with a cup holder accessory.
But do you want to know the best part? The telescoping handle. This is the first stroller that is tall enough for my husband to push without getting a back ache! He’s 6’4″ and has always hated pushing a stroller around because he has to bend to reach the handle. After a while his back starts to hurt.
We went out to shoot these pics and as he pushed the stroller around he said, “Why do we have to find the perfect stroller when we’re on our last child and she’s already three?!” He loved pushing her around and she was so content to sit back and take in the sights as we strolled the Sponge Docks in Tarpon Springs. I was happy because I wasn’t worried about her darting into traffic or taking a spill into the ocean!
Here’s what Jake says: How I wish I could have discovered this 16 years ago when our first child was born. Finally a stroller that is comfortable to walk behind and push. (Anyone who is tall will understand what I am talking about!) As a person that appreciates quality, this is a well built machine! The engineering is well thought out, and solidly built. If you pick this stroller up, it will be the last one you will ever have to buy.
