{52 Dresses} Week 14 | $45 J. Marie Designs Giveaway!

The Skinny on Year Two of {52 Dresses}:

  • Make sure to check out {52 Dresses} Year One and the current {52 Dresses}!
  • I’m working with boutique businesses who create fabulous children’s fashions!
  • I’ll be spotlighting a different business each week; sharing their talents with you!
  • A little AWESOMENESS: I’ll be doing a G I V E A W A Y from the business every week!
  • The dresses that I photograph in the {52 Dresses} project will travel to Johannesburg, South Africa next spring and be distributed to little girls in need! It’s going to be amazing! There are currently over 60 dresses ready to be delivered!

*A quick update on {52 Dresses}: My mom and dad have been in Johannesburg, South Africa for the last 16 months serving a mission for our church. Their service there has been the inspiration for the {52 Dresses} project. They had planned on serving there until next May and my mom and I have been making plans for my visit next spring at which time we’d distribute the dresses that have been gathered. Unfortunately, my parents returned stateside this weekend after my mom was diagnosed with a medical condition which needs immediate treatment and surgery. It’s still to early for us to know what will happen or whether or not they will return to their mission.

At this time (although I still am hoping that I will get to travel over) I am planning on sending the dresses next spring to a friend of my parents in Johannesburg who will distribute the dresses in case it isn’t possible for me to go personally.

Did you see that cute little logo at the top of the post? I’m so excited about it! It was designed by Heather at Girl Hearts Camera. I just love her blog and the inspirational quotes she posts on her Facebook page! I feel so lucky that she personally designed this logo the {52 Dresses}! I’ll be showcasing a new button soon too!!

Okay, back to business;)This week is sponsored by J. Marie Designs. I just love Jana {owner of J. Marie Designs}. She’s one of my closest friends. It’s been over two years since she first made a dress for Miss B. Jana has the most generous spirit of anyone I know. I’m blessed to count her as a friend.

She and her family lived in Kodiak, Alaska while we were there and they also moved this summer. They are now in Mobile, Alabama. I’m glad to know she’s a short 8 hour drive away.:)

Did you notice that I used the chair in this session? I used it almost every week during {52 Dresses} Year One, but it has been packed away since we left Kodiak earlier this year. We’ve just moved into our new home and I was so excited to have it back in our midst! I couldn’t resist using it!

This darling dress from J. Marie Designs (don’t you love it?!) will accompany the other dresses to South Africa next spring, and Jana has generously donated a $45 gift certificate for a custom order to a lucky reader!  She does all kinds of custom work including embroidery so this isn’t only open to little girls! Make sure you enter if you have little boys! You will definitely find something that you love! All you need to do is enter via Rafflecopter, which is so easy! Just see the form below! Good luck!!

Becca - And I spelled “your” wrong in the last comment so I had to say something because I can’t stand when people get “your” and “you’re” wrong. I blame the sleep deprivation caused by being a mom to a newborn!
