{52 Dresses} Week 23 | Laken & Lila Giveaway

The Skinny on Year Two of {52 Dresses}:

  • Make sure to check out {52 Dresses} Year One and the current {52 Dresses}!
  • I’m working with boutique businesses who create fabulous children’s fashions!
  • I’ll be spotlighting a different business each week; sharing their talents with you!
  • A little AWESOMENESS: I’ll be doing a G I V E A W A Y from the business every week!
  • The dresses that I photograph in the {52 Dresses} project will travel to Johannesburg, South Africa next spring and be distributed to little girls in need!┬áIt’s going to be amazing! There are currently over 60 dresses ready to be delivered!

*For those of you who are interested in an update on my mom and dad, they are still stateside after returning from Johannesburg. They will actually be here tomorrow (YAY!) to spend Christmas with us and then they are heading back to SLC where my mom will be having back surgery after the first of the year. It’s still unclear as to what will happen after that (whether they will return to Johannesburg or not). But I always have the option to send the dresses to a friend of theirs in Johannesburg who would be able to distribute them to little girls in need. Your prayers are appreciated while my mom goes through surgery and recovery. It’s going to be a bit of a long road.

Miss B and I (and Jake and Jacob and Sam – but not Josh because he was home studying) had the best time capturing these images for {52 Dresses} Week 23. We went down to Ybor City in Tampa where you can get grunge galore. (By the way – Miss B IS wearing shoes. But they are clear jelly sandals which appear to be nonexistent.) Being downtown was a fun change from the sunset pastures I’ve done recently. And it also happens to be located right next to Ikea, so after the shoot we headed over for lunch. Who can walk out of Ikea without picking up at least a $2.99 pillow cover? Not me. (In my defense, it was a GREAT deal!:))

This week’s dress is sponsored by laken & lila. I’ve been a huge fan of laken & lila for ages and was thrilled when she chose to be a part of {52 Dresses}! She has the cutest children’s clothing for both boys and girls. You can check out her Etsy store HERE. She runs an amazing deal all the time: Buy Two Skirts and Get One Free. So you definitely want to go check her out! She’s going to be participating several times over the next few months and I cannot wait!

I love the dress she sent this week! It is very well made and Miss B was incredibly comfortable in it. The yellow added the best POP to the outfit! If you happen to live somewhere less warm than Florida, you could pair this with a pair of leggings and it would be adorable!

laken and lila have generously donated this darling dress to be taken to South Africa next spring and given to young girls in need. They are also giving away a $25 gift certificate to a lucky fan! Just enter using the Rafflecopter form below! It’s so easy! Spread the love around, we’d love it if you would share {52 Dresses} with your friends! Thank you!!
