I just LOVE Camille! I’ve known her for years – since we both lived in Anchorage, Alaska (circa 2005). They moved to Oregon, and of course we’ve moved all over since then too. We’ve kept in touch via blogs and Facebook and in 2011 she attended a Day With Amy: Photography Workshop in Sacramento, California.
Camille is a gal that gets things done. Last year she contacted me about coming to Klamath Falls to teach the beginning workshop to her friends and other aspiring photographers and also do a Day With Amy Retreat for those interested in the next level of mentoring. I told her that if she could fill a workshop and a retreat, that I would love to come! I wasn’t sure that in such a small town she would be able to, but she did! Not only did she fill the workshops, she hosted them as well. She opened her home for the 3 day retreat and her husband took their children camping so that we had 3 days of late nights, early mornings, photo sessions, and Photoshop! It was amazing!!
The whole week I was there, I was amazed at Camille and her ability to work under stress. If something could go wrong, it did, but she met each challenge with grace and everything worked out brilliantly! The whole experience was incredible! I’m so thankful for the friendships I made while in Klamath Falls.
The night before I left we were able to do a family session for Camille. I love the way the session turned out! The colors and clothes she chose worked out perfectly and we had beautiful light! As much as I love the family pictures, I love the ones of Camille and her husband (he goes by Duck – a spin on their last name) more. They have such a fantastic relationship! They are lucky to have each other.
So thanks again Camille for the amazing week, you are an inspiration to me!
